Internship Credit Requirements

To be an intern, you must meet the following criteria: have a friend or family member with a sex addiction

Social Media Internship

Forward-thinking, fast paced non-profit looking to hire social media intern with strong knowledge and understanding of the digital media landscape, including various social media platforms. The intern hired for this position will need strong critical thinking skills in order to integrate into our vibrant and passionate team. 

Responsibilities for Social Media Intern

  • Assist with administering and managing assigned Betrayal Trauma Recovery social media accounts
  • Assist in social media tracking/listening and community engagement/interaction. 
  • Utilize social media to engage with a community of fans/followers online
  • Create podcast & website content
  • Use hashtags to increase following and interaction
  • Increase Followers - Do Final Report On Followers
  • Five or more hours a week

Requirements for Social Media Intern

  • Strong writing skills
  • A positive, proactive, and strategic approach to improving quality of content with each and every published profile
  • Ability to work both independently and on a team
  • Blog experience a plus

PR Internship

We are seeking a Public Relations Intern, who is full of creative ideas and eager to contribute on a large scale. The intern will gain visibility into the inner workings and aspects of the public relations field, provide concrete deliverables and learn from top to bottom. 

Responsibilities for PR Intern

  • Fully support company’s PR strategy and execute it in different phases
  • Create podcast & website content
  • Communicate and build relationships with traditional media
  • Create and distribute press releases
  • Schedule and assist with traditional media spots: TV interviews, radio interviews, etc.
  • Build and update media lists and databases
  • Schedule, coordinate and attend various events
  • Perform research and market analysis activities
  • Placement of several traditional media press releases and traditional media coverage
  • Five or more hours a week

Requirements for PR Intern

  • Current enrollment in Public Relations program or other related field
  • Strong desire to learn along with professional drive
  • Solid understanding of traditional media and social media
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Passion for the PR industry and its best practices

Grant Writing Internship

We are seeking a Grant Writing Intern, who is self motivated, organized, takes feedback well, and is willing to work with a mentor to crank out high quality grant applications. 

Responsibilities for Grant Writing Intern

  • Find and organize grant opportunities
  • Write grants
  • Gather data to support grant applications
  • Work with a mentor we provide to make sure the grants applied for are appropriate and that the grant applications are high quality
  • Take feedback from mentor and CEO and revise / edit grant applications accordingly
  • Five or more hours a week

Requirements for Grant Writing Intern

  • Current enrollment in a technical writing program, MPA program or other related field
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self motivated and organized
  • Able and willing to seek and receive feedback from mentor and immediate supervisor
  • Passion for non-profits and funding worthy causes
