Individual Sessions

You don’t have to carry or sort through the confusion of betrayal in marriage alone. We understand and we’re here for you.

In a one-on-one session, a compassionate coach on our team will guide you.

Get the focused support you need right now so you can stop second-guessing and start moving forward.

Why Not Couple Therapy?

I interviewed over 200 betrayed women—92% said therapy made their marriage worse.

You don’t have time to follow advice that keeps you stuck, confused, or hoping things will change while the damage continues. Our team will help you see the truth clearly and avoid the exact obstacles that may keep women from the peaceful, stable home they were trying so hard to create.

OUR TEAM

Empowering beyond words. I’m so grateful for my BTR Coach!

I haven’t found such amazing support in 14 years of individual counseling, marital counseling, or several marriage intensives. BTR Coaches are the BEST.

BTR Coaches are wonderful. The examples they use and tools they teach improved my situation so much!

BTR is the only support organisation I’ve found that ‘gets it’. Unlike other therapists/support groups, there’s no need for me to be on guard against questionable and possibly dangerous advice. Thank you!!!

Which BTR Coach Should I Choose?

All of our Coaches are incredible. They each have their own personality and experience. The easiest way to get a feel for each BTR Coach quickly is to attend BTR Group Sessions to get to know them. Each of our Coaches facilitates several Group Sessions.

Will you tell me what I should do about my marriage?

No. Our role is not to tell you whether to stay or leave.

Instead, we help you gain clarity and understand what your options are. Many women feel pressure from others to forgive quickly, reconcile, or “try harder.” Our sessions are a place where you can think clearly about what’s actually best for you and your children.

You remain in control of every decision.

Is this therapy?

No. Individual sessions at Betrayal Trauma Recovery are coaching sessions, not therapy.

Our coaches specialize in helping women recognize deception, emotional abuse, and betrayal patterns in relationships. The focus is on helping you understand what you’re experiencing and develop strategies that help you feel safer and more confident moving forward.

Many women work with us alongside therapy, while others come to us because therapy hasn’t helped them understand what’s happening.

What if I’m not sure whether what I’m experiencing is abuse?

That’s actually one of the most common reasons women schedule a session.

Many women come in feeling confused. Their husband may appear like a “good guy” to others while their marriage feels increasingly distressing or chaotic.

During your session, we help you look at patterns of behavior so you can better understand what you’re dealing with and why things feel the way they do.

Is this confidential?

Yes. Your session is private and confidential.

Many women who work with us are in sensitive situations and need a safe place to talk openly. Our coaches understand the importance of privacy and treat every conversation with care and respect.

Can I talk about co-parenting or post-separation issues?

Yes. Many women schedule individual sessions to talk about post-separation abuse, co-parenting challenges, or difficult interactions with an ex-partner.

These situations can be incredibly stressful, especially when children are involved. Our coaches can help you think through strategies and responses that protect you and your kids.

What if I feel nervous about scheduling a session?

That’s completely normal.

Many women tell us they felt anxious before their first session because they’ve been dismissed, blamed, or misunderstood in the past.

Our coaches are experienced in working with women navigating betrayal and emotional abuse. The goal is to create a space where you can talk openly and feel supported while you sort through what’s happening.

How quickly can I schedule a session?

Individual sessions are available online, so you can join from the privacy of your home.

You can view available session times and schedule a session directly through our booking calendar. If you need help finding a time that works for you, our team is happy to assist.

How will the charge show up on my statement?

For your privacy and safety, the descriptor for all charges for our services appear on your statement as a discreet URL to help you easily identify the transaction while others see only a generic, seemingly unrelated website.

If you need even more privacy, some women choose to purchase a prepaid Visa or gift card (for example during a grocery trip) and use that.

Another option is to use the card of a trusted friend or family member and reimburse them.

We want you to be able to get support in a way that feels safe and comfortable for you. If you have any questions about billing or privacy, our team is always happy to help.

How do your Individual Sessions work?

During an individual session, you’ll talk privately with one of our trained Betrayal Trauma Recovery coaches about what you’re experiencing. Many women come in feeling confused or overwhelmed, and the entire session focuses on helping you sort through what’s happening so you can see your situation more clearly.

Our coaches listen carefully and help you identify patterns, discuss practical strategies, and explore options that protect your emotional and physical safety.

You can talk about anything that feels important—your relationship, parenting concerns, financial fears, or how to handle difficult conversations.
